Situated in the centre of Yorkshire, Peel Park Campsite is a fantastic location from which to explore the scenic beauty of God’s own county.
Our rural setting makes Peel Park Campsite a great base from which to enjoy the rolling Yorkshire countryside on two wheels. With the Tour de Yorkshire now a permanent fixture in the professional cycling calendar, it’s no wonder the county has become a mecca for cyclists from all over the world.
For keen cyclists, the countryside offers some fantastic opportunities to push yourself to the limit and test your stamina on famous climbs such as the Côte de Sutton Bank. Alternatively, for those looking for a ride that is a little more sedate, the quiet county lanes and byways provide great routes between the charming villages that surround the campsite, many of which having a traditional Yorkshire pub where you can stop for a pint of locally brewed beer and something to eat.
For those looking for a two wheeled adrenaline boost, Peel Park is a perfect location for you. Situated just 12 miles from the mountain bike trail centre in Sutton Bank, and 25 miles from Dalby Forest, another popular mountain biking trail centre, our campsite is a great base for mountain bikers of all abilities. Both sites have something to offer everyone, ranging from the family friendly green routes to more challenging red routes, designed to test the skills of experienced mountain bikers. Dalby Forest hosted the UCI World Cup in 2011, and this World Cup cycle trail (Black) is also open to experienced mountain bikers.
